A Time to Smile

There comes a time
In our life
When we awaken
To the truth
We let go of
Negative what ifs
And embrace
The positive
We trust in love
The enduring kind
Lift our faces
To the sky
And soak up the sun
Catch raindrops
On our tongues
Revel in the quiet
Solitude of new-fallen snow
We stand on a mountaintop
Close our eyes
And pretend to fly
Soar toward Heaven
Kiss God's cheek
Then return to earth
Smell the roses
And honeysuckle
Sigh in contentment
And we smile
